Poultry management schedule
We done already seen that a poultry management schedule is the timetable by which a flock should be raised for optimal health and yield outcomes. In order to do so, you should perform flock management activities within prescribed timeframes.
A flock’s hatch date is the basis on which your poultry management schedule is outlined.
How to schedule feeding and egg production cycles
Kukufarm poultry app now supports the scheduling of feeding and egg production cycles, as well as flock harvesting. To do so, you just need to go to your flocks schedule page, select respective activity, enter relevant details and save the activity.
After that, your flock schedule will list each activity by its due date, auto-calculating the dates, and thereby simplifying poultry schedule management. In addition, upcoming flock activities are now listed on your dashboard so are always aware of what’s coming up next.

The benefits of scheduling flock harvesting, feeding and egg production cycles
One of the main reasons we are building support for a full poultry schedule management is to help have your flock’s timetable at your fingerprints. You no longer need to refer to paper documents or try to remember what activities are due when for your flock.
Having your complete flock schedule at hand we believe will help you have a clear overview of all flock activities over its lifetime. Thus, this will help prepare for and perform those activities in time.
For certain activities such as the egg production cycle, and weight monitoring, you can tell if your flock is performing as expected.

For instance, you can preparing for the start of egg production by buying trays and other egg handling and packaging material in time. Similarly, knowing how long it comes to receive an order for a new flock, you can place an order in time, based on when your current will be ready for harvesting.

Later on, we plan to add support for flock weight monitoring. Once, this and feeding cycle management is in place, we will auto-calculate the cost of feeding a flock (FCR). After we put support for these features in place, Kukufarm will deliver actual power of data based farming to you. In order for Kukufarm to become a poultry management super app, this is the direction we are taking.
Let us know if this direction suits you, and how we may better support your poultry farming and record keeping.
