Scheduling poultry feeding timetable in Kukufarm will make it easier for you to know when feeding cycles are changing. As a result, your flock management will no longer be a matter of recalling them but simply referring to a flock’s schedule and having all flock management activities in one view.

What is a poultry feeding schedule

Simply put, a poultry feeding schedule is the timetable by which a flock should be fed for optimal outcomes.

A poultry feeding schedule is specific to a flock by a number of factors such as:

  • Breed
  • Flock type: layers, broilers, mixed

Typically, a poultry feeding schedule has 3 feeding cycles. These are

  1. Starter
  2. Growers

How to schedule poultry feeding in Kukufarm

To do this, go to Records screen > Select a flock > Go to Schedule tab > Add new activity > Select Feeding cycle > Add respective details > Save.

Kukufarm already supports flock vaccination and treatment scheduling and feeding cycle goes right into the same schedule. Ideally, this should simplify your flock management activities. Moreover, you can easily see a flock’s upcoming activities in your farm’s dashboard.

We are going to look into adding support for poultry bird’s weight monitoring chart. However, we will need your feedback in this one. Ideally, once the feeding cycles and weight chart are in place, we will automatically calculate your flocks feeding cost or feeding cost ratio.
