As we done mentioned before, a poultry management schedule is a timetable for profitable poultry farming. That said, a typical poultry management schedule includes treatment activities, feeding cycles, egg production cycles (layers only), weight tracking and harvesting schedule.

Kukufarm app – which you can get from PlayStore and AppStore – already supports the management of poultry vaccination schedule for both layers and broiler flocks. In this here article we will see how Kukufarm poultry management app can help you easily follow poultry management schedule without missing an activity.
Poultry management schedule
A poultry management schedule, or what we are also referring to as a flock rearing timetable lists all flock treatment and flock management, and their respective administration times.

A poultry management schedule is NOT a one-size-fits-all kind of a schedule. For starters, a poultry management is specific by at least the factors listed below. In addition, poultry management can be specific by geographic regions.
Factors that determine poultry management schedule
- Poultry breed
- Flock type e.g. layers, broiler and mixed
- Geographic region – certain diseases are limited to specific regions
- Time
Lastly but not least, poultry management schedules are usually updated. For instance, when you buy a new flock of the same breed and flock type, in the same geography, you may find that the vaccination schedule is changed.

How to manage your poultry management schedule with Kukufarm
So far Kukufarm has helped you easily manage your flock vaccination schedule in a number of ways. Firstly, Kukufarm app makes it easy for you to create and manage your flock schedule. But given the complexity of a full flock management schedule, we are adding more features.

For starters, we have created a farm dashboard that among other things shows upcoming flock treatment and management activities. For instance in the screen below, you can see what activities are next for the flock in Coop 1.

Why did we add flock schedule activities in the poultry farm dashboard? Essentially, we want to make it very easy for you to know what flock activities are coming and when they are due.
Caught between creating schedule notifications and subtle reminders, we opted to go for subtle schedule reminders. This way, you can start preparing ahead for schedule activities instead of having to wait for a notification reminder. Moreover, if you’ve multiple flocks, you will see everything coming up for each.
FYI in the same note, we are making it easier for you to track and understand flock performance right on the dashboard page.

More schedule features coming..
In future iterations, we will create a full blown poultry management schedule. This will support the scheduling and management of
- Vaccination and treatment
- Feeding cycles
- Egg production cycles
- Weight tracking
- Flock harvesting
Let us know if a poultry management schedule is important for you, and what aspects you would like supported the most. Adios!
